A 46-year-old teacher at Appleton West High School has been arrested after he allegedly had an inappropriate relationship with a student in the Middle School.
Reports indicate that Brian Dimmer began talking to the girl during their remote class session and added her on social media. The conversations, which lasted from March to October, grew more and more inappropriate, as he began asking her for nude pictures.
The victim’s mother was eventually informed of the messages, and Dimmer was arrested on Monday.
A letter was sent to the parents and guardians of students in the Appleton Area School District, and they were made aware of the situation.
Dimmer is now facing charges of Exposing Genitals to a Child, Causing a Child Over 13 to View or Listen to Sexual Activity, and Soliciting an Intimate Representation of a Minor. If found guilty, Dimmer could spend up to 16 and a half years in prison.
