Progress Lakeshore is looking for a new Executive Director. After six years of leading the local economic entity, Pete Wills has accepted a position of Administrator for the City of Brillion.
Wills says the goals of Progress Lakeshore are to be a leader in the community -promoting economic growth and enhancing the quality of life in this area. Progress Lakeshore emphasizes their efforts to retain, grow and attract businesses, workforce and entrepreneurs to Manitowoc County. In a statement to Seehafer News moments ago Wills said, “in the last six years we have created over $173 million of capital investment and over 1400 new jobs”
He adds, “We’ve turned the corner in efforts towards ‘Facing the Water’ and have made tremendous strides in the last six years.” Wills admits leaving is difficult but says “Brillion is a growing community thriving with many opportunities for growth and I look forward to my new position as their City Administrator to achieve those goals.”
Progress Lakeshore Board President Sam Grage states in a news release “We appreciate the work Peter has done and wish him the very best in this next stage of his career.”
A search for Wills’ successor has begun and he begins his new job in Brillion on Monday.
