Two law enforcement officers wounded during a confrontation with a hit-and-run suspect Friday in Delafield are expected to survive.
Their injuries were described as “serious” and there has been no update on their conditions.
33-year-old Nathaniel Benton of Fargo, North Dakota is being held in the Waukesha County Jail. Benton was the object of a manhunt that lasted several hours.
He’s also wanted for attempted homicide in his hometown from an incident last week.
The wounded police officers’ names haven’t been released, but they were from the Village of Hartland and from Delafield.
