The Milwaukee Brewers are in the market for a first baseman and the pickings are slim among free agents.
The website ReviewingTheBrew.com thinks switch-hitter Carlos Santana could fit the bill.
The Brewers haven’t started the same player at first base two seasons in-a-row since Prince Fielder left.
Santana is a switch-hitter with power who has a solid O-P-S. He did hit only .199 last season, but he was still a solid producer who provides outstanding defense. Age could be a factor since he turns 35 next season.
He’s likely to accept a one-year deal and should be affordable.
