24 years after the murder of 22-year-old Lisa Holstead, the Green Bay Police Department has made an arrest in the case.
65-year-old Lou Archie Griffin was taken into custody yesterday on a charge of 1st Degree Intentional Homicide, and is being held in the Brown County Jail.
Holstead had left a family gathering on August 12th, 1986 with her boyfriend, and witnesses say they saw her exit the vehicle in the area of Mason and Taylor Streets at around 2:30 AM.
The next time anyone saw Holstaed was when her body was found in a marsh in what is now known as the Ken Eures Nature Park.
New DNA evidence was used to identify Griffin as the suspect, despite not being on the investigators radar at any point during the investigation. He was arrested outside his Racine home without incident.
