A Manitowoc man was caught attempting to steal a sound bar from the Walmart on Calumet Avenue yesterday afternoon.
The incident was reported to police at around 5:00 PM Monday evening, and the Asset Protection Associate pointed the suspect out to police on their camera system.
The officer spoke with the 25-year-old man, who claimed to be his younger brother. He denied taking the sound bar, but was seen on camera taking the item.
He was also found to be in possession of a pocket knife.
He is now facing charges of Felony Retail Theft, as the sound bar was valued at $552, Obstruction, and Carrying a Concealed Knife.
