Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Devin Williams has been named the National League Reliever of the Year.
He edged Trevor Rosenthal of San Diego and former Brewer Jeremy Jeffress of the Cubs to win the award.
Williams still has a good chance of winning the National League Rookie of the Year award. He struck out 53 batters in 27 innings, giving up only nine walks and one earned run.
After several years of struggling in the minor leagues, the 26-year-old finally put it all together, using a high-90s fastball and a devastating change-up to compile a point-33 earned run average.
The Jackie Robinson Rookie of the Year award will be announced November 9th.
