During the third week of National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCSAM) the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) is highlighting how consumers can take steps to remain secure on internet-connected health services such as telemedicine and health care apps.
They suggest that you use secure internet connections when signing in to healthcare websites and apps, and to make sure you review the privacy policies. Also, while it may make things easier for you, allowing your device to remember passwords for such sites and apps also makes it easier for hackers to obtain your information.
