Wisconsin men’s hockey head coach Tony Granato says he hopes to have N-H-L first-round draft pick Dylan Holloway for a few weeks before the Canadian team starts getting ready for the World Junior Championship.
Scrambled schedules have made that a puzzle yet to be solved. Hockey Canada says it could start its camp as early as November 12th – one day before the Badgers’ first game.
Granato agrees that Holloway should be in Canada if Wisconsin isn’t playing. He’s hopeful that the sophomore forward will be able to play six-to-eight N-C-A-A games before he has to report to Alberta.
he World Junior Championship runs December 25th to January 5th in a secure bubble in Edmonton.
