Authorities are investigating two of Wisconsin’s latest traffic deaths focused a hit-and-run driver in Milwaukee, and a truck that started a fire near Athens in Marathon County. Police were still looking for the hit-and-run driver at midday. A 35-year-old man died after his car collided with the suspect’s vehicle at a south side Milwaukee intersection around 9:05 P-M Wednesday night. Police say the suspect’s unit was disabled and the people inside fled on foot. In central Wisconsin, Marathon County deputies say a truck drove off Highway 97 south of Athens. Police say the vehicle move through the exit ramp on Highway 29 and landed in the median of that freeway before catching on fire. The truck driver died in the accident. The names of the two victims were not immediately released.
