Row of police cars, with blue and red flashing sirens. selective focus
It seems like nearly everyday there is a new report of a shooting incident in Green Bay.
While the city has been known for a larger number of gun related crimes than most cities in the area, this year has seen a much higher number of cases than in the past, something that the Green Bay Police Department says they are trying to stop.
Police Chief Andrew Smith says that the majority of these incidents are between two groups of people who are arguing of petty things like girlfriend issued or drugs, and that there is not a larger issue of indiscriminate shooting.
Police are currently investigating a pair of shootings from Wednesday, but due to the lack of cooperation from the people involved, they are having a hard time collecting solid evidence in the cases.
Anyone who has any information about these or any shootings, you are encouraged to contact the GBPD.
