The Wisconsin National Guard is scheduled to be in Manitowoc today at their community testing site in the County Expo Center.
This is a recurring site which was set up to make the Guard’s schedule a little more predictable, as opposed to traveling all across the state each week as they are needed.
Manitowoc County Emergency Services Director Travis Waack told SeehaferNews.com, “It will run from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM, or until 300 tests are reached. We have 300 tests that they can conduct, and if that is wrapped up before 6:00 PM, they will have to close the site early.”
Waack also specified that you do have to have symptoms or have been a close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19 in order to get tested.
He explained, “Being a close contact generally means you have been within 6 feet of them for about 15 minutes, or you had some actual physical contact.”
Pre-registration is encouraged and can be done at CovidConnect.wi.gov.
