For some, for just a moment, it was like 2018 all over again.
A construction worker broke a gain main Thursday afternoon just before 2:00 p-m, forcing an evacuation of a one-block area of downtown Sun Prairie.
An explosion two years ago flattened buildings and killed an off-duty firefighter.
This gas leak was much-less of a problem.
M-G-and-E shut off the gas within 15 minutes and people were allowed to return at 3:15 p-m.
Emergency responders say the leak was above ground, allowing the gas to clear the area quickly.
No injuries were reported.
