Reporters for E-S-P-N and the Houston Chronicle say former Texans coach Bill O’Brien “lost the team’s locker room” when he argued with All-Pro defensive end J-J Watt during practice.
O’Brien was fired as coach and general manager when Houston remained winless after four games.
Nobody is saying what Watt – a Wisconsin native and former Badger standout – and his coach argued about.
Defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver was involved. Watt isn’t talking, simply saying he holds “no ill will” toward O’Brien – who had a 52-and-48 record in just over six seasons leading the team.
