
Valders won the Boys team title last night at the Brillion Cross Country Invitational.
The Vikings of Coach Bill Dietrich totaled 68-points, compared to 78 for runnerup Kaukauna. The meet medalist was the Lions’ Hunter Krepline in 15:59, as Brillion finished 4th in the team standings.
Valders runner, Shane Griepentrog, finished 2nd in a time of 16:02, while teammates Clay Taylor & Mitch Braun were 4th & 7th, respectively. Kiel wound up 5th led by Ethan Vander Meer’s 12th place finish Reedsville’s Owen Behnke was 14th and Roncalli’s Brayden Yanda placed 18th.
Kaukauna won the Girls division, fueled by having 6 of the top 10 finishers. Kiel took 4th with Jocelyn Aprill who finished 4th individually, Valders was 8th paced by Avery Kauth #19, Reedsville ended up 10th led by Grace Rezba, who was 33rd and Jena Garceau provided Roncalli’s best finish at #44.
The winning Ghosts tallied just 23-points, compared to runnerup Oostburg’s 85.
