Looking ahead to a hopefully more normal 2021 season, the Milwaukee Brewers know they have a solid starting point.
Led by Josh Hader and Devin Williams, manager Craig Counsell can count on one of the best bullpens in Major League Baseball. Milwaukee’s 4.17 bullpen E-R-A ranked fourth in the National League. Williams averaged almost two strikeouts-per-inning and had an earned run average of 0.33.
The offense is the problem area.
With players like Mike Moustakas and Yasmani Grandal leaving through free agency, the Brewers struggled to score runs this year. They managed to cross the plate only twice in a two-game sweep by the Los Angeles Dodgers than ended the postseason last week.
