Eight area schools competed last night at the Reedsville Cross Country Invite’.
Brillion edged out Valders 54-to-58 to win the Girls team competition while the Vikings captured the Boys title defeating the Lions 40-to-63.
Brooklyn Luebke of Manitowoc Lutheran was the top female runner in a time of 19:33 in leading her team to a 6th place finish. Avery Kauth & Sage Meyer of Valders placed 4th & 7th respectively in their runnerup finish. Roncalli took 3rd, paced by Elizabeth Schmidt in 8th, the host Panthers were 5th led by Grace Rezba, and Cora Stodola wound up 15th for Mishicot.
Meanwhile, the boys top runner, Brillion’s Hunter Krepline, covered the 5-K course in 15:50, followed by the Vikings’ Shane Griepentrog at 16:19. Clay Taylor was 3rd. Lutheran had a 3rd place finish with the Lancers’ Spencer Streich placing 9th. Roncalli came In 5th led by Brayden Yanda in 7th, Owen Behnke of Reedsville ran to a 6th place finish, the same placement as the Panthers’ team, and Daniel Benfield of the Indians was 11th.
