It appears that Allen Lazard is now the Green Bay Packers’ number-two wide receiver.
Lazard caught six passes for a career-high 146 yards and a touchdown in Sunday night’s 37-30 win at the Saints, hauling in 48 and 72-yard catches that set up a pair of touchdowns.
He became Aaron Rodgers’ go-to target in New Orleans without Pro Bowl wide-out Davante Adams on the field. Lazard
He was rewarded for his effort with the ‘game ball’ in the locker room.
Coach Matt LaFleur said Lazard “has become a really, really consistent high-level player for our offense.”
The Pack signed the Iowa State star off the Jacksonville practice squad in 2018.
