Valders Boys Edge Out Sheboygan Lutheran at Bremser Cross Country Invite, Ozaukee Wins Girls Race

It was a tight finish last evening in the Boys race at the Jim Bremser Cross Country Invite at Mishicot.

Valders Coach Bill Dietrich tells us that his Viking boys edged out Sheboygan Lutheran 63-65 to win the team title in the 16-school competition.  Brillion’s Hunter Krepline was the individual champion in a time of 15:54, just one second faster than Valders runner Shane Griepentrog.

Teammate Clay Taylor wound-up 4^th.  Manitowoc Lutheran placed 7^th with Spencer Streich the Lancers best finisher at #18.  Kiel was 8^th led by Ethan Vandemeer in 13^th Roncalli was 9^th with Brayden Yanda leading the way in 15^th Reedsville came in 10^th, paced by Owen Behnke at #9 overall and Two Rivers was 11^th, with Zach Fries the Raiders top finisher at 24^th.

In the Girls race, Anna Gallagher of Two Rivers was the individual champion as she ran the 5k course in 19:07 helping her team to a 4^th place finish.

Ozaukee wins the team title followed by Kiel, paced by Jocelyn Aprill’s 5^th.  Valders placed 5^th with the Vikings led by Avery Kauth at #12, Reedsville ended up 8^th with Grace Rezba coming in 16^th, Manitowoc Lutheran wound up 9^th with Brooklyn Luebke taking 3^rd overall, Mishicot was 10^th paced by Cora Stodola 34^th and Roncalli was 11^th as a team, led by Elizabeth Schmidt placing 38^th.
