
Envelope containing voting ballot papers being sent by mail for absentee vote in presidential election
A stack of mail was found in a ditch in Outagamie County, and among the letters and bills were some absentee ballots.
According to County Sheriff’s Office reports, three trays of mail that were destined for the post office were found in a ditch along Highway 96 near County Highway CB in Greenville.
The number of ballots that were found was not disclosed, and it was not stated if they were filled out ballots or were on their way to the voters.
All the information and evidence were given to the U.S. Postal Inspector, who has taken over the investigation.
Francis Pilon, from the U.S. Postal Inspection Service in Milwaukee is asking “anyone who observes suspicious activity involving U.S. Mail to report it to local police and to Postal Inspectors at 1-877-876-2455.”
