The newly appointed District 7 Alderman in the City of Manitowoc, Aaron Baily is reportedly being investigated on the legitimacy of his address.
Bailey went to Facebook to post a video addressing the investigation, and claimed it was a racist act because it marks the first time that a City Councilman has been investigated for this reason.
He also said the anonymous individuals who called for the investigation “Have more money than brain cells because they are going after the wrong person for the wrong reasons at the wrong time.”
In the video, Bailey showed his State ID, which has his address on it, and voiced his frustration with the situation, saying “It’s a shame that I have to go pick up documents from the City Attorney and have to do all these things, where it should be given to me and, not me going chasing after it.”
He also called on the citizens of Manitowoc to combat racism in the community.
