The 30th annual Bob Burzynski Cross Country Invitational was held yesterday in Valders, with 15 schools competing.
Valders Coach Bill Dietrich reports that in the girls race, Oostburg captured the win with 42 points, well ahead of second place finisher Kiel, who had 63 points. Two Rivers wound up third with 91 and Valders took 5th. Two Rivers runner Mikaela Henning won that race with a 19-minute time, while Kiel’s Jocelyn April came in 3rd. Valders was paced by Avery Kauth’s 11th place finish.
For the boys, Valders was the victor with 43 points, followed by Kiel and Brillion. Hunter Krepline of Brillion took the top spot individually with a time of 15:44, while Shane Griepentrog and Clay Taylor from Valders took 2nd and 3rd respectively.
