For the second time this week, the number of new COVID-19 cases reported by the Manitowoc County Health Department yesterday broke the record locally for most in a day.
25 new cases were confirmed in the report, which is one more than was reported on Monday, which was the record at the time. Also, only nine new recoveries were reported, so now the gap between the number of active cases and recoveries is down to 15.
The pandemic totals now sit at 767 confirmed cases, 355 active cases, and 13,445 negative test results.
Meanwhile in Sheboygan County, 15 new cases were reported yesterday by the Division of Public Health, along with 18 recoveries, and 291 negative test results. Two more deaths were also linked to the coronavirus.
This leaves the pandemic totals at 1,305 cases, 112 of which are active, 32,295 negative tests, and 14 deaths linked to COVID-19.
