Despite his firm promises about staying in Milwaukee, Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo was sending mixed messages over the weekend.
He met with team owner Marc Lasry Saturday to reportedly talk about the team’s future.
Yahoo Sports is reporting that he unfollowed the team and his teammates on Twitter and Instagram earlier in the day.
Antetokounmpo firmly denied he planned to force a trade shortly after Milwaukee lost to the Miami Heat, ending its postseason hopes. He told reporters, “That’s not happening,” in response to questions about forcing a trade.
The Bucks are expected to offer him a five-year super-max N-B-A contract worth around 221 million dollars this offseason.
