A 20-year-old Menomonee Falls man faces a charge of first-degree intentional homicide.
Hasani Monroe is accused of stabbing his former girlfriend to death in her apartment last week.
It was Monroe who called 9-1-1 about the incident last Tuesday, telling dispatchers to victim picked up a knife and stabbed him.
Emergency responders from the Menomonee Falls Fire Department found the woman unresponsive with a stab wound in her upper chest.
They weren’t able to revive her.
Earlier in the evening, the victim had told her sister she had just broken up with Monroe.
They had been dating for about three years, and her name hasn’t been released.
