The Dane County Sheriff’s Office says it is holding two people accused of firing shots at deputies during a chase that started with a traffic stop Monday night.
An overnight manhunt resulted in the arrest of 38-year-old Michael D. Parks at about 7:30 a-m Tuesday in a wooded area of Cottage Grove.
About 90 minutes later, 30-year-old Amber R. Virgnig turned herself in.
People living near the area were asked to shelter in place at about 2:45 a-m.
No injuries were reported.
