A 30-year old local man was arrested yesterday on charges of Battery & Disorderly Conduct, both with Domestic Violence Orders, stemming from a disturbance in Manitowoc last Friday.
The police report indicates the suspect and his 22-year old girlfriend were attending a friend’s birthday party at a residence in the 2100 block of Clark Street, when he became jealous after another male arrived at the house.
The 30-year old suspect allegedly pulled the 22-year old woman’s hair and struck her.
After the altercation, the suspect reportedly told the victim not to cry or mention the fight or he would beat her up.
The two recommended charges have been forwarded to the district attorney’s office.
