About 1,600 people will be enrolled in a trial for a coronavirus vaccine over the next two months in Madison.
One of the trials for that much-needed vaccine will be based at the U-W School of Medicine and Public Health.
The work at the clinical site will study a vaccine developed by AstraZeneca.
Scientists say two-thirds of the study participants will receive two injections of the vaccine, while the other third will receive placebo injections.
The study will last about two years with 30,000 participants nationwide.
