The Big East Conference has released COVID-19 fan protocols for attending fall sporting events during this pandemic.
Manitowoc Lutheran Athletic Director Scott Loberger says that schools will, under their own discretion, allow up to two fans per player-per game plus options are being explored for livestreaming home games. MLHS will make two passes available for each athlete according to each team they play on at a cost of $25 each to be charged to the students’ TADS account.
Fans will be linked to a specific athlete to allow for contact tracing and monitor attendance. For example-those who have a ticket for a Junior Varsity event can only attend that event and won’t be allowed to stay for varsity competition and vice versa.
Fans will also have to wait for your game to begin then leave immediately when it’s over. All will be required to wear face coverings.
If uncomfortable-you are encouraged to offer your ticket to someone else and finally concession stands won’t be open.
Carry-ins are discouraged with the exception of water bottles. Loberger adds Manitowoc Lutheran High School will and ask everyone to respect these decisions and “just be happy that our athletes get a chance to compete.”
