The Illinois teenager accused of shooting two people to death and injuring a third in Kenosha Tuesday night has an extradition hearing Friday.
He will appear in a Lake County, Illinois courtroom.
17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse apparently thought of himself as a militia member protecting life and property – according to interviews and social media posts.
Video of the shooting showed Rittenhouse being chased by other protesters, one of which was carrying a handgun.
Wednesday night’s protests were reportedly peaceful after three nights of violence following the police shooting of Jacob Blake.
