The Wisconsin Badgers basketball program wasn’t listed when 5-star prospect Hunter Sallis of Omaha announced his finalists Sunday.
There had been some thought that point guard commit Chucky Hepburn would convince Sallis to come to Madison.
Badgers coaches aren’t resting however, as they’ve been working hard to recruit 4-star shooting guard Jaden Schutt of Yorkville, Illinois and 4-star six-foot-eight power forward Tyler Nickel of Elkton, Virginia.
They have to beat out programs like Illinois and Michigan State for Schutt and Iowa and North Carolina State for Nickel.
Both players have at least a dozen offers and neither has announced a cut-down list of schools.
