Brandon Woodruff provided the quality start and Orlando Arcia drove in the winning run as the Brewers edged Cincinnati Tuesday night 3-2.
It was the second straight win for Milwaukee after ending a four-game losing streak.
Woodruff stopped the Reds on four hits and a pair of runs through six innings, then relievers Brent Suter, Devin Williams and Josh Hader gave up no hits, walks or runs the rest of the way.
Ben Gamel’s outfield assist on a strong throw to the plate in the fifth inning protected the lead.
Adrian Houser starts tonight’s (Wednesday’s) game at Miller Park with the first pitch at 7:10 p-m. That game will air on 107.9 FM WOMT, and at WOMTRadio.com.
