Officials at Wisconsin Lutheran College say they’re not giving a political endorsement to Vice President Mike Pence.
The Republican politician is scheduled to deliver the school’s commencement address Saturday morning. The private liberal arts institution describes Pence as a man who “advocates for the freedom of religious expression” so Wisconsin Lutheran College can flourish within a pluralistic society. Dozens of alumni have signed an online letter calling the invitation divisive and asking that the school reconsider.
