Authorities have identified the victim involved in a motorcycle crash yesterday in the Village of Kohler as 27-year-old Ya Youa Vang of Oostburg.
Police say the initial call came about 5:45 a.m. from the Sheboygan County Dispatch Center of an abandoned motorcycle on County Highway A at County Highway PP.
Authorities discovered during an initial investigation that the unit was laying on its side-running and warm to the touch.
A subsequent search resulted in locating the victim laying in a ditch below the Sheboygan River where Vang was pronounced dead with speed determined to be a contributing factor.
Assisting agencies on scene were the Kohler Fire Department-Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department and Sheboygan County Coroner.
