Manitowoc Lincoln High School Football Coach Greg Enz responded yesterday to the decision by the Fox River Classic Conference to postpone all fall sports to next Spring.
Enz, who is entering his 2nd year as Shipbuilders’ varsity coach tells SeehaferNews.com, “Under the circumstances, I do understand (the move). Would I like it to be different? Sure, I think all of us would and as a parent, I have a daughter who’s a senior and would’ve enjoyed seeing her play volleyball this fall.”
But he added “There has to be a realism in all of this, that we’re dealing with a pandemic.”
Enz explained that he met virtually with the players Tuesday evening to communicate with them to try to answer questions and address their needs, allowing them a time to process all of this.
As it stands, the 10-member FRCC schools will start practice in early March, after basketball season, and play a 7-game Spring schedule.
