Sales of existing homes in Manitowoc County last month increased by nearly 40%. That information from the Wisconsin Realtors Association and, it reflects the statewide rate in July.
It’s been reported that 124 homes in the county were sold in the most recent 31-day period, compared to 89 for the same time a year ago. The Median Price, meanwhile, also rose by 9.5% from $116,000 to $127,000.
Statewide, Wisconsin’s existing home sales hit a new record for the month at 7.6% and the Median Price increased by more than 10%.
WRA Chairman Steve Beers said, “July was a remarkably robust month for home sales, given what we’ve been through the past four months.”
Association President & CEO Michael Theo added, “We had record home sales because we had record-low mortgage rates.”
