A 34-year-old Manitowoc man was taken into police custody Friday evening after he allegedly attacked his mother.
Officers were sent to a home in the 800 block of South 26th Street after a caller told the dispatch center that she needed a cop and hung up the phone.
When officers arrived, the woman told officers that her son had struck her multiple times, and the officer noted visible evidence of injuries. She was taken to a local hospital via an ambulance.
When officers spoke to the son, he denied doing anything wrong. He was not responding to officers’ orders and an airsoft BB gun was seen sitting next to his bed.
The man was arrested, and is facing a charge of Battery, with a Domestic Violence Order, and felony Bail Jumping.
