The Department of Workforce Development reports more than 620 thousand claims for unemployment benefits are still waiting to be processed. Those out-of-work Wisconsin residents are on hold while the unemployment office decides whether to award the claims. The D-W-D says some claims date back to March. More than four million people have been paid by the state since March, with the payments totaling over three billion dollars.
