The Milwaukee Health Department has warned nine businesses about not complying with the city’s mask order.
Businesses can be cited and fined up to 500 dollars for failing to follow the mask ordinance. It requires anyone over the age of three to wear a face mask when they are inside of a public building – and outside when they are within six feet of others.
A Middleton business, Helbachs Coffee Roasters, is in jeopardy of losing its food and drink license for defying the Dane County mask order.
A public hearing where it will be determined if Helbachs keeps its license will be held August 25th. The business has been cited three times.
