Members of the Wisconsin National Guard will switch from pandemic response to serving as poll workers for next week’s primary election.
Governor Tony Evers officially activated the Guard for that duty Wednesday.
The troops will report Sunday for training and to begin receiving assignments. On Monday, they will report to clerks to receive site-specific training as well as helping set up the polling locations.
They will serve as traditional poll workers on Tuesday, August 11th.
The Wisconsin National Guard had the same duty during the April election.
