A Green Bay man has been taken into custody after he allegedly beat a man after a disagreement over wearing a mask.
According to reports, the incident happened at a Festival Foods grocery Store on University Avenue at around 8:30 Monday evening. A man was walking back to his van, while wearing a mask, when 20-year-old Vadim Sinitsky asked him, “Isn’t it dumb we have to wear masks?”
The man then reportedly walked to Sinitsky’s car and said, “What did you say cupcake?” before adding that he had to wear one because his wife has cancer. The man began walking back to his vehicle, when Sinitsky grabbed a metal bar, and began beating the man.
The victim was eventually able to close his door and Sinitsky fled the scene
He was found shortly after by police and was reportedly quite emotional. He told police he “took care of it because he was a man.”
Sinitsky has been charged with Battery, Disorderly Conduct and Resisting an Officer.
