Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams says his team is in “a really good spot” when it comes to the receiver position entering the 2020 season.
The veteran Adams admits he was as surprised as anyone when the Packers failed to use a draft pick at wide receiver in April, but he says a lot of young ones already on the team are about to come into their own.
He says they are improving physically, while getting comfortable with the offense, mastering the finer details of the job and getting on the same page with quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
As to pick one current Packers receiver capable of breaking out, Adams points quickly to Allen Lazard – who caught 35 passes for 477 yards last season. He also mentions Equanimeous St. Brown and Marquez Valdes-Scantling as pass catchers ready to step it up.
