A Milwaukee couple could face up to 12 years in prison if they are convicted on the charge of being party to a crime of felony murder-battery.
32-year-old Shirley L. Monge and 31-year-old Angel Monge-Mathuzima were charged Saturday in Milwaukee County Circuit Court. 33-year-old Ryan Sorensen of Onalaska died of a stab wound to the chest in September of last year.
The altercation in West Allis apparently started over a comment he made about bicycles. Witnesses say Sorensen had joked about wanting the bicycles the couple was riding.
They return to court for preliminary hearings one week from today (Tuesday).
