The Brewers failed to hold a two-run lead while losing their delayed home opener by a 6-4 score to the Chicago White Sox.
Milwaukee was up 4-2 when Jose Abreu pounded a game-tying homer in the seventh. The go-ahead run scored in the eighth on a wild pitch and Yoan Moncada gave his team some breathing room with a solo shot in the ninth.
It was the first action for the Brewers since COVID-19 wiped out the weekend series against the Cardinals.
David Phelps took the loss.
Former Sox outfielder Avisail Garcia doubled, singled and drove in three runs for Milwaukee.
Right-hander Brandon Woodruff starts tonight’s game against the Sox.
