A Manitowoc woman is facing charges after she allegedly attacked a man and threw a rock at the windshield of his car, shattering it in the process.
The Manitowoc Police Department received a call from an anonymous witness just after 12:00 AM on Sunday reporting that a confrontation was happening outside a home in the 200 block of Harvest Court.
Officers spoke with a man on the scene, who said that he went to the residence to pick up his girlfriend when the 49-year-old woman came out of the home and said he couldn’t take his girlfriend anywhere.
The woman then allegedly swung a hammer at the man but missed, before attempting to strangle him, and throwing a rock through the windshield of his car.
The age of the victim and his girlfriend were not included in the police report.
The woman was arrested on charges of Criminal Damage to Property and Disorderly Conduct.
