One of the runners in a 100-mile ultra-marathon Sunday took a quick break – so she could be sworn-in as the newest Wisconsin Supreme Court justice.
Jill Karofsky was sworn in at about 1:00 p-m by Justice Rebecca Dallet in Basco.
Karofsky began the race at 6:00 a-m Saturday and it took her 34 hours to complete the course.
She defeated incumbent Daniel Kelly in the election last April, narrowing the court’s conservative majority to four-to-three.
