A De Pere man will spend the next 17 years in prison after he allegedly sexually, mentally, and physically abused his adopted children.
According to reports, Donald Windey was found guilty of repeated sexual assault of a child, being party to the crime of physical abuse, strangulation or suffocation, and four felony counts of causing mental harm to a child.
Windey showed remorse at his sentencing saying, “I failed as a father.”
His wife Shirley was also charged in the case and sentenced to 4 years in prison back in January.
