The numbers may be smaller than normal, but early in-person voting starts today (Tuesday) for next month’s Wisconsin primary.
More than 785,000 voters have requested absentee ballots, indicating fewer may be planning to show up at polling locations.
That’s 10 times the number of mail-in ballots that were cast in the 2016 August primary.
A record of almost one million Wisconsin voters voted by mail in April and that record is expected to be broken this time.
Early in-person voting runs through August 9th.
