Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers is saying “no” to federal agents coming to help with law enforcement efforts in Milwaukee.
President Trump announced Thursday that the agents will be deployed to five cities, including Milwaukee, to help fight increasing crime problems.
Wisconsin’s Democratic governor says he sent a letter to the president earlier this week saying he was “deeply disturbed” by the plans to send the agents in before any direct communication with Evers’ office.
He says he’s strongly opposed to the idea and warns it will only make things worse.
