The general manager of a Wisconsin Dells attraction has lost his job for the email he sent to local officials about face masks and making a reference to the “phantom China virus.”
Mark Whitfield wrote the local economy “would collapse if the Sauk County supervisors go ahead with this kind of action.”
Whitfield referred to “religious” and “medical” problems he would have with a face mask policy.
He called the Sauk County Director of Health a “certified liar.”
Shortly after the email went public, Noah’s Ark officials announced Whitfield was no longer employed there.
